My approach to therapy
is Constructivist Psychotherapy. This is a philosophy of
counseling which encompasses both emotions & thoughts that a
client has & how they can lead to either mental well being or
mental distress. The techniques used to counsel are likely to
include: dialogue, interpretation, cognitive reframing,
awareness exercises, self-monitoring experiments, visualization,
journal keeping & Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR).
My approach is very respectful of the client's perspective &
life experience.
I am a National Certified Counselor
& have a Masters of Science in Counseling from Oregon State
University. I belong to the American Counseling Association,
Oregon Counseling Association & the American Association of
Christian Counselors.
